Once I went to an exciting exhibition that I couldn't forget. It was about artists who lived in the Netherlands before.
There were many people there, so it was a bit crowded, especially in Vermeer's exhibition room and Rembrandt's exhibition room. The crowds were all gathered around the painting: The Nightwatch and The Girl with the pearl earrings.
I found The Nightwatch interesting because it is the most comprehensive picture in Rembrandt's exhibition room. It shows that the artist has tremendous skills to paint well. The painter does not draw each person's portraits one by one according to the traditional style of portrait painting but describes the plot of the shooters who are about to carry out the task. In the center of the picture, Captain Kirk (some researchers think it's the painter himself) is walking while talking with his deputy. The rest of the people are quite scattered. On the left, some people are raising flags, others are cleaning guns, and on the right, there are some people plaing the drums and others preparing weapons. In addition, the artist ingeniously places a little girl bathing in the middle of a group of men, which maker her quite prominent. In this painting, Rembrandt deals with many characters, different emotional dynamics, varied lights, colors, and fatty spatial levels to create a harmonious whole. It is not a simple portrait but a meaningful genre painting.
All the artworks are great, and if you like art, you can feel the same feeling as the artist drawing the picture.I recommend it to people who love art and like to see what artists have created, as well as those who want to learn arts. Without doubt, it must be a wonderful experience for them.
