Sport was the second theme for the semester. This tied in well with the overall school theme. As the kids were taking part in school sport activities they were also learning about different types of sports and the importance of sport and exercise. 

   The students were first introduced to the topic of exercise; what is exercise and why it’s important. They were given the opportunity to express themselves through physical activity as a way of exercise. The next topic covered was different types of sports; individual and team sports. The students were able to differentiate between the two, providing examples for each.

   The students were also given the opportunity to create posters about their favorite exercise, and to orally express themselves.

   A song about sport was introduced as the last topic, the song was about different types of extreme sports. The students were able to share their experiences and thoughts on the sports.

   Overall, it was an interesting topic for the students. They enjoyed the physical activities, engaging in conversation about different types of sports and the singing.
