Today, my class learns about recycling. Our form teacher, Miss Pereira, teaches us how to recycle. We learn that we can recycle many things. We can recycle our plastic bottles and drink cans. We can also recycle waste paper.

   At home, we can recycle old clothes. We do not need to throw them away. Instead, we can reuse them as floor rags. We can also give them to needy people. Miss Pereira tells us that recycling is Recycling old very important. We can save the earth by recycling. Recycling old things is a good deed. Miss Pereira asks us, "Do you want to do good deeds, class?"

   “Yes!” we answer. "Good!" Miss Pereira tells us, “you can begin by recycling."

   I have many old things at home. Every day, we throw away cans, bottles and paper. From now on, I will make an effort to recycle these items.

   Instead of throwing away old cans and bottles, I can give them to my sister. She can use them to make handicrafts. I can also use waste paper as scrap paper. I can write on scrap paper. This way, I can reduce the paper I use. For things that I cannot reuse, I can pack them and give them to the Salvation Army.

   I am supportive of reducing, reusing and recycling. I would like to save our Earth!
