Glaciers and icebergs represent two of the most important parts of Earth’s ecosystem. The icebergs are large pieces of fresh water ice that fall from the ice sheet and float in the ocean. Glaciers are huge masses of ice and snow that exist over long periods of time and flow very slowly by gravity.
Glaciers all over the world have been melting for at least the last 50 years, and the rate of melting is speeding up. Many glaciers around the world have shrunk dramatically.
The glaciers are disappearing. They say when it continues like this in the year 2090, they will be only remaining 10 percent of the glacier. Glaciers have lost half of their total volume in less than a century. Another pressure on water supplies in a time of widespread drought. You can see how quickly the ice is moving, how much has melted.
Polar bears live mainly on seals, young walruses and other marine animals. Floating ice on the sea is where they forage, mate, and produce. But the survival of polar bears is seriously threatened by global warming and the reduction of Arctic ice. Earlier, more environmentalists pointed out that polar bears are likely to die out by the end of the century.
The glaciers are melting and global warming in causing. Well, l have two possible solutions to the problem of glaciers are melting: the first solution is to plant more trees. In the future, afforestation will be used as an alternative to reducing carbon emissions to slow warming. The second solution is use less fossil fuels.Scientists think this is because of human activities, especially the burning of fossil fuels which has increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere leading to global warming. To help fight this, it's best to try and use less fossil fuels for energy.
As the saying goes"No snowflake is innocent in an avalanche". We should have the responsibilities to protect the environment. This is good not only for ourselves but also for the future generations.
