This week, I traveled to America for a math summer camp. The plane ride was nerve-wracking, but once I arrived, the beautiful surroundings calmed me. The sun, the gentle breeze – everything was inviting. I eagerly anticipated my time at The College of New Jersey.
In the dorm, I met Milla, my first friend. We chatted and had fun, quickly becoming best friends. I also met Anna and Ashley. Initially, I thought they were classmates, but they were actually my counselors.
I learned a lot here. Various professors taught me new things, from interesting questions to games. My counselors were incredibly kind and supportive, always looking out for me. I really appreciate them.
Some classmates participated in a talent show, which was fantastic. Piano performances were enchanting, and dancing and magic acts were captivating. It was a joyful night.
We also competed, giving our best. While I didn't win an individual award, I got second place with my teammate – a great achievement.
Overall, this summer camp was wonderful. I'm thankful for my counselors, friends, and teammates for giving me the gift of friendship. I can't wait to come back next time!
