Last Sunday was Mother's Day, and I planned a special day for my mom to show her how much I love her. I woke up early to make her breakfast. I cooked scrambled eggs and toast, and picked fresh flowers from the garden to decorate the tray. Though the eggs were a little burnt, my mom smiled and said it was "the best breakfast ever"!

After breakfast, I gave her a handmade card. I drew a big heart with "World's Best Mom" inside and wrote a poem thanking her for helping me with homework, hugging me when I'm sad, and always making me laugh. She hugged me tightly and said, "This is the sweetest gift!"

In the afternoon, we planted roses together in the garden. My mom loves flowers, and she taught me how to care for them. We laughed as soil got on our hands and faces. At night, I helped her wash dishes and sang her favorite song.

Mother's Day made me realize how lucky I am to have such a caring mom. I promise to help her more and make her happy every day, not just on Mother's Day!
