Our second major topic for the fall term is jobs, and for our higher grades, the concept of careers. It is an opportunity for students to explore different career paths, the duties, and skills required to become the respective jobs. Firstly students have explored helpful and community oriented careers. Secondly, the students look into more “cool” or interesting careers. They also delve into workplace settings. Additionally, they will explore science and technology related careers, and contrast this with more nature related careers. Finally, the students will synthesize all of this information into their display posters, taking what has interested them most about the topic and getting creative with the learning materials.
