Did you know that you can make a battery using lemons? This Tuesday, we did an interesting experiment called the Lemon Battery. To do the experiment, we needed five lemons and some copper coins, some galvanized screws, leads and some LEDs.

   First, we used the knife to make a cut in a lemon and pushed a coin inside it. We did the same with the other four lemons. Next, we inserted a galvanized screw on the other side of the lemon, opposite the coin. Then, we used leads to connect the coins to the screws. At last, we connected the LED. If the steps are all correct, the LED will lighted up. We tried the small white LEDs, the middle red LEDs and the big green LEDs. They all lighted up. What an exciting experiment!
